Many Muslims join US military to kill fellow soldiers, says ‘terrorism expert’

A terrorism expert and author is warning of what he perceives as a threat to the U.S. military, and suggesting to lower that danger, Muslims not be allowed to enlist in the ranks.

Muslim Mafia” co-author David Gaubatz said on a recent edition of his counterterrorism radio program that because of a Muslim’s first allegiance to Shariah law, they are ill-fitted for the U.S. armed forces.

Gaubatz said a mosque leader in Knoxville, Tenn., reported many Muslims in the military believe that their fellow soldiers are the “enemy.”

Bad news for ‘Islamisation’ scaremongerers – even al-Qaeda doesn’t seek to impose Islam everywhere

How Islamist Extremists Quote the Qur'anA common belief in the West is that al Qaeda wishes to impose Islam everywhere. This might be a pipe dream for the group, but a new study of their use of religious texts suggests that Islamists’ goals are much more modest.

Researchers with Arizona State University’s Center for Strategic Communication (CSC) analyzed more than 2,000 items of propaganda from al Qaeda and related Islamist groups from 1998 to 2011. They catalogued more than 1,500 quotes from the Qur’an that extremists used to support their arguments, and identified the chapter (surah) and verse represented in the quote.

Results showed that most of quotes are about enduring hardships and maintaining faith and hope in the face of attacks by enemies of Islam. The so-called “Verse of the Sword” (9:5) that says “fight and slay the pagans wherever you find them” was used only three times.

Picnic held to support Islamic Center of Murfreesboro

I Support ICMSunday in Murfreesboro, people of all faiths gathered in support of a new Islamic center struggling to open on Veals Road.

A picnic at Barfield Crescent Park was meant to be a morale boost to the Muslim community who have seen protests and legal complications surround the controversial building of the mosque.

“I’m really happy if they donate money to help build the mosque because I really want to have a better mosque,” said 10-year-old Lian Sader.

“The freedom of religion is the right of everyone in this country,” added Zulfat Suara of the American Muslim Advisory Council. “I feel like that’s something the people of Murfreesboro should be entitled to.”

Expose the Islamophobia industry

The Islamophobia IndustryNathan Lean, author of the forthcoming study The Islamophobia Industry: How the Right Manufactures Fear of Muslims, calls for a campaign to expose the poisonous anti-Muslim ideology promoted by the likes of Pamela Geller, Robert Spencer and Frank Gaffney, which provided the inspiration for Norwegian mass murderer Anders Breivik.

Lean writes: “Society has a responsibility to counter these individuals with overwhelming overtures of pluralism – and to systematically push the fearmongers out of public discourse. The consequences of inaction are grave. Just as Bin Laden had several copycats, so too may Breivik. In his closing statement, the Norway killer said that, ‘My brothers in the Norwegian and European resistance movements are sitting and watching this case while they plan new attacks’.”

Colorado State Senator on banning mosques: They’re not ‘places of worship’

Kevin GranthamLast weekend, the Dutch Islamphobic politician Geert Wilders spoke to a conservative conference hosted by a Christian university in Colorado. The anti-Muslim firebrand served up his usual fare: Islam is not a religion but a “totalitarian ideology,” multiculturalism must be stopped, U.S. courts must end immigration from Muslim countries and mosque construction must be banned.

According to a report on the event in the Colorado Statesman, conservatives at the conference took Wilders’s words to heart, as well as those of fellow anti-Muslim conspiracy theorist Frank Gaffney.

South Carolina: vandals smash Islamic centre’s window with ashtray

Someone threw a large outdoor, concrete ashtray through a window at the Islamic Center of South Carolina on Cherry Road in Rock Hill, causing $1,200 in damage.

The center’s director told police that sometime between 11 p.m. Monday and 5 a.m. Tuesday, someone threw the outdoor ashtray at the front of the business into a storm window, according to a Rock Hill police report.

Most of the mess was cleaned before officers arrived, the report states. Officers saw that the window was badly damaged, but still holding together.

Police did not find the ashtray but did notice the ashtray’s sand sprinkled in front of the window. There were also several cigarette butts scattered along the window, the report states.

San Antonio Muslim family targeted on Fourth of July

San Antonio 'terrorist' graffitiSAN ANTONIO, Texas — It was America’s birthday but for one family July Fourth was no party. It was a nightmare for a Muslim family who said someone spray-painted the word “terrorist” on their home Wednesday morning and it didn’t stop there.

The family said on Wednesday night someone rang their doorbell and started banging on the front door. The family told police they also heard fireworks being thrown at their door.

San Antonio police are investigating the incident as criminal mischief, but the family, who is of Pakistani heritage, wants more done. They are asking for the FBI to get involved.

Is Jesus Christ reaching out to Muslims through their dreams?

More Than DreamsWell, according to a report posted at Glenn Beck’s The Blaze he is. Apparently there’s even a book about it – Dreams and Visions: Is Jesus Awakening the Muslim World? by Pastor Tom Doyle – and a DVD entitled More Than Dreams.

The Blaze reveals that one Muslim had set out for Mecca to perform Hajj when Christ appeared in a dream and persuaded him of the error of his ways. Happily, he has now converted to Christianity. And there is the case of a “radical Egyptian terrorist” who also accepted Jesus as his saviour after a similar visitation. Indeed The Blaze directs us to “a number of other examples” that are featured in the More Than Dreams DVD.

I have to say, I don’t find this entirely convincing as a weapon in the struggle against Islamisation. According to a Pew report, the world Muslim population stood at 1.6 billion in 2010 and the number is expected to rise to 2.2 billion in 2030. If Christ is going to make a serious dent into those figures he needs to put a bit more effort into this.
