Israel indicts US fugitive who allegedly planned to bomb Muslim holy sites

Adam Everett LivvixAn American fugitive who took up residence in Palestinian-controlled cities on the West Bank and who allegedly came into possession of arms in order to carry out terrorist attacks against Islamic holy sites in Israel was indicted last month by Israeli prosecutors, officials said on Tuesday.

Adam Everett Livvix, who is wanted in the United States for questioning on drug-related charges, was apprehended by Israeli police on November 19.

According to the indictment, Livvix had recently “told his acquaintances in Israel about his negative opinions towards the Arab population in Israel and his desire to cause harm to Islamic holy sites in Israel.”

In October 2014, he conspired with his roommate, an IDF soldier who also holds American citizenship, to acquire weapons. The indictment says this included 1.4 kg of explosive bricks, for which he paid his roommate an unstated sum.

Zionist Federation cancels Mordechai Kedar lectures … but only at schools

The Zionist Federation this week cancelled appearances at three Jewish schools by an outspoken Israeli academic following concerns about his links to an anti-Islamist activist banned from Britain.

Dr Mordechai Kedar, an expert on Israeli Arabs who regularly appears to defend Israel on Arabic stations such as Al Jazeera, was due to begin a speaking tour on Wednesday night. But ZF chairman Paul Charney said that he had removed the schools from the tour after the intervention of the Board of Deputies.

Dr Kedar, who lectures at Bar-Ilan University, has spoken at events organised by Stop the Islamisation of Nations, founded by the Jewish American Pamela Geller, who was banned from Britain last year in a move supported by the Board of Deputies.

At a 2012 Sion conference, where speakers also included Tommy Robinson, then of the English Defence League, Dr Kedar urged Europeans to have more babies. Muslims, he declared, were “multiplying – somebody said [like] rats”.

The Board had said “their biggest concern would be about him visiting schools”, Mr Charney explained. “To which I replied that I would pull him from the schools so as not to have an argument, to which they replied they were glad to reach accommodation on this.”

Muslim-hating man rams Missouri teen with SUV, severing his legs and killing him

Quran is a virus disease woreste than Ebola

A 15-year-old boy died on Thursday night in spite of doctors’ efforts to save his life after he was deliberately struck by a car in a collision that severed both of his legs.

According to Kansas City, Missouri’s WDAF-TV, the boy was exiting the Somali Center of Kansas City with a friend when a driver in his 30s rammed his car into them both. The driver reportedly targeted the boys because of their Muslim faith.

The attack took place on Thursday at around 5:30 p.m. as the boys were getting into a parked car.

“It became pretty clear that this was not an accidental crash, there is a considerable amount of evidence that leads us to believe it was intentional,” said Sergeant Bill Mahoney of the Kansas City Police Department.

The second boy was not seriously hurt in the impact, but the deceased 15-year-old’s legs were severed at the scene and he reportedly lost a tremendous amount of blood. Paramedics rushed him to Children’s Mercy Hospital where a surgical team labored in vain to save him.

Teacher accused of anti-Muslim remarks to resign, get 3 months’ pay

Angela BoxA third-grade HISD teacher accused of making profane and anti-Muslim remarks on a public access television show will resign immediately and receive three months’ pay under a deal approved by the school board Thursday.

Angela Box, a teacher at Daily Elementary in west Houston, had remained in the classroom since controversy over her comments surfaced in mid-November. Her annual salary is $50,100.

Box has taught in HISD since July 2013 and previously taught in Spring Branch ISD. She was a regular guest on the conservative political show “Tommy’s Garage.”

Trustees of the Houston Independent School District did not discuss the settlement publicly before their 6-0 vote to approve the deal.

In a statement Thursday, Box said she would miss her students and treasure the time she spent with them. She said “character assassination” by community activist Quanell X, who had accused Box of using a racial slur, made it impossible for her to remain in her job.

“As I have said before, opposing President Obama and sounding the alarm about radical Islam does not make me a racist,” the statement said, adding that she did not utter the racial epithets Quanell X had attributed to her.

“I am considering all my legal options regarding the conduct from Mr. X and others. I expect to have an announcement as early as next Monday regarding my future steps.”

Damage found at Islamic faith centers in St. Cloud

Central Minnesota Islamic Center vandalismIslamic leaders in St. Cloud are speaking out after saying their faith centers and worshipers’ property were targets of vandalism.

The latest case was discovered Wednesday morning by an imam, a religious leader, making his way into the Central Minnesota Islamic Center. The building is located just north of St. Cloud State University on Fourth Avenue South. Ten starburst cracks pepper a window about the size of a door frame.

Spokesperson for the center, Mohamoud Mohamed, said this is the third time the building has been vandalized over the last few weeks. Each case involved a damaged window. “At the beginning we were thinking it was isolated – a student or drunk person. But it isn’t,” he said. “It is some person or persons who are causing damage and targeting our faith facilities.”

It’s not just their building being targeted. Mohamed says vehicle windows are also being smashed as people attend morning prayer. This week, several worshipers reported damage done to vehicles outside the Islamic Center of St. Cloud, the mosque on Fifth Avenue South.

“(The vandals) know we pray before the sun rises and it is still dark,” he said. “They are coming to those parked cars and then disappearing,” he said.

Kennesaw, Georgia: City Council rejects mosque application

Kennesaw anti-mosque protest

The City Council denied a request by Muslim residents to use space in a retail shopping center as a prayer center by a 4-1 vote Monday night, with Councilwoman Cris Eaton-Welsh voting in favor.

Doug Dillard, the attorney representing the applicant, Suffa Dawat Center at Kennesaw, said the council’s denial was a blatant attack on the applicant’s First Amendment rights to practice religion freely.

Dillard said the applicant, Mufti Islam, will fight back, and he has plans to bring a lawsuit against the city. “We think it’s discriminatory, and it violates equal terms,” Dillard said. “They had no reason to deny this.”

Nayyer Islam, who represents the mosque, said they will continue to fight for their right to worship in the retail center. “We’ll follow all the legal ways to continue to get the permit,” Islam said.

Eaton-Welsh said the applicant did everything he could. “I’m saddened,” Eaton-Welsh said. “The amount of anger that has come out of this was not something I ever thought Kennesaw was all about.”

Whitley has resigned as chair, effective Friday. He was also fired from his hardware store job in Ortonville.

John Cleese & Bill Maher debate political correctness, muse ‘You can’t make jokes about Muslims, they’ll kill you’

Monty Python scion John Cleese has described political correctness as “condescending” and a barrier to comedy. The comedian mused on the subject on HBO’s Real Time With Bill Maher on Friday.

Cleese, who was on the show to promote his memoir So, Anyway, was led into the matter by Maher who gleefully asked him: “Let’s bitch about political correctness.”

Cleese complied, saying: “It’s so awful isn’t it. It starts out as a halfway decent idea and then it goes completely wrong. I used to go out and do these race jokes. I’d say ‘The French, you know, why did the French have so many civil wars? So they can win one now and again’.

“’Why are Australians so well balanced? Because they have a chip on each shoulder…’ you know, I used to do these jokes. And then I say ‘There were these two Mexicans…’ and the whole place is aghast.

“I make jokes about Swedes, Germans, French, English, Canadians, Americans… why can’t we make jokes about Mexicans? Is it because they’re so feeble that they can’t look after themselves? It’s very, very condescending. Who are the people you can’t make jokes about?”

Quick as a shot, Maher replies with a knowing laugh: “Muslims. Try that, see what your Twitter feed says.” A giggling Cleese says: “That’s not saying that you can’t, that just means they’ll kill you.”

“Oh yes, I’ve said that. I’ve made jokes like ‘It’s a religion of peace… there’s a piece of you over there, there’s a piece of you over there'”, Maher responds.

‘Bigotry’ on Facebook costs Big Stone GOP chair his day job

Ortonville Hardware

The chairman of the Big Stone County Republican Party, who took to Facebook last week to issue a “call to arms” against Muslims, has lost his day job.

Jack Whitley “brought shame” to his community and to Hardware Hank, the Ortonville store where he has worked for the past several years, his employers decided. Whitley’s Facebook posts – in which he described Muslims as “terrorists” and “parasites” and calling for someone to “frag ’em” – came as a shock to the store’s owners, Bob and Sue Kulbeik, who were even more shocked when he stood by his remarks.

“Everything Jack said was so contrary to the way my husband and I conduct our life and the way we believe and think that we just couldn’t tolerate it,” said Sue Kulbeik.

He was let go, she said, not because of any outside pressure, but because “he clearly offered no remorse” for his statements. “We even asked him, ‘Is that really how you feel?’ And he said, ‘Absolutely,'” she said. “We said, ‘You’re no longer needed at our store.'”

Angry dad doesn’t think daughter should have to learn about Islam because he was a Marine

John Kevin WoodA Maryland family apparently plans to sue their daughter’s high school over an assignment that included lessons on the Muslim religion.

John Kevin Wood was banned last month from La Plata High School when school officials claimed he threatened to cause a “sh*tstorm” and disrupt classes over the world history lesson.

School officials considered the comments to be a threat against public safety, but the U.S. Marine veteran’s wife and attorneys insist he did nothing wrong.

“The school’s actions not only dishonored John Wood’s service, but the service of all men and women in our Armed Forces who defended our nation from Islamic violence,” said the conservative Christian Thomas More Law Center in a statement.

The family and their lawyers claim the girl was required to affirm “there is no god but Allah” and other aspects of the Muslim faith, but school officials say the class covered only the role of Islam in the history and politics of the Middle East – where it has been the dominant religion for centuries.

Wood and his attorneys claim the lesson amounted to “Islamic indoctrination” and violated the constitutional rights of Christians who are not able to proselytize at school.

According to a press release from the self-described “Christian response to the ACLU,” the Wood family objected to lessons that indicated Allah is the same god worshiped by Christians and Jews. They also were offended that lessons covered Muslim teachings about the role of women in Islamic societies.

“Wood witnessed firsthand the destruction caused in the name of Allah and knows Islam is not ‘a religion of peace,’” the law center said in a statement. “He served in Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm, and lost friends in that action. On 9-11, Wood responded as a firefighter to the smoldering Pentagon.”
