Left-Right anti-Muslim alliance in the Netherlands

Council of ex-MuslimsCritic of Islam, Ehsan Jami, and Freedom Party leader, Geert Wilders, compared the Prophet Mohammed to Adolf Hitler in a co-written article published in the Dutch daily Volkskrant Thursday.

In their article, Wilders and Jami say strong criticism of Islam is absolutely necessary. “If we do not act now against the far-reaching Islamisation of the Netherlands, then the 1930s will be revived. The only difference is that back then the danger came from Adolf Hitler, while today it comes from Mohammed.”

BMI denounces Tories’ selection of Boris Johnson

Boris JohnsonBritish Muslim Initiative views the Conservative choice of Boris Johnson as the mayoral candidate as an affront to the sensitivities and beliefs of London Muslims. In a city in which one in eight of its population is Muslim, Johnson has demonstrated an antipathy to the Quran that borders on the realm of the bigotry.

During the debate on the religious hatred bill Johnson is recorded as saying “if this bill makes any sense at all it must mean banning the reading in public or in private of a great many passages of the Quran itself”. He also wrote in one of his articles “the Koran is full of stuff that plainly falls into that category (religious hatred)”.

Mohammad Sawalha Chair of BMI said: “In the light of such invective BMI affirms any individual aspiring to represent the people of London must demonstrate respect for all its communities. Mr Johnson is on the hostile path with the religious and ethnic minorities and he would destroy the great harmony enjoyed in London.”

Mr Sawalha further added: “What is required at this juncture is a Mayor who has the understanding of the needs of the great many communities in London and unite them, unfortunately Mr Johnson does not fit that bill. Boris Johnson’s record of hostilities and disdain for the sacred book of Muslims must automatically disqualify him from their support, to the same degree that his public offence and disrespect for black and ethnic minority communities should equally render him unworthy of their support.”

The worst of Worcester

Worcester“Think of Worcester and a vision of a pretty cathedral, rolling hills and the famous Malvern natural springs would probably come to the mind of Guardian readers…. The truth is, if you are British Pakistani or Pakistan-born male, there are few less desirable places to live in Britain than Worcester.

“Why? The following brutal attacks have occurred on Pakistani taxi drivers in recent times: • A driver was doused with petrol and set on fire. • Another was left with psychological problems after being smashed over the head with a metal bar. • Another was almost choked to death with his seatbelt. • Another was stabbed and left for dead. • In yet another incident, a driver suffered severe facial injuries after being lured by his passengers into a quiet cul-de-sac….

“Some of the community I spoke to blame the British National Party for ratcheting-up racial tensions through leaflets that complain migrant workers take up jobs previously held by ‘British’ students. Others warn of the Islamification of Britain and appeal for an end to new mosques in the city. Pakistanis claim that the attacks follow terrorism-related stories that appear in the media; it gives white racists an excuse to relieve their frustration on innocent cab drivers. Only this summer a CS gas canister was thrown into Worcester Central Mosque.”

‘PC cops endanger public’ fascists claim

BNP fascism“Politically correct cops are failing to protect the public from possible terrorist attacks from Islamic extremists. That’s the stark conclusion from the latest figures from Scotland Yard which reveal that more than half of the 32,000 people stopped under the Terrorism Act between April and August this year were white….

“It is ludicrous that the Met’s well paid chiefs haven’t got their head around the fact not a single one of the Islamic terrorists who blew themselves up along with 52 innocent commuters on 7th July 2005 was of white European descent, that not a single member of the failed 21st July bombings was of white European descent and that the failed bombers who targeted the West End of London and Glasgow Airport in August were all Asian (specifically Middle Eastern/Pakistani Asian) males.

“It is the Met’s misguided fear of alienating ethnic minority communities that places the entire British public in danger.”

Muslim slurs man faces jail

A Midland accountant who accused a teenage Muslim student in full traditional dress of being a terrorist has been warned he faces a prison sentence. Brian Frisby, described as a pillar of the community, also told the 17-year-old girl she should “go home” and that she should dress like an English woman, a jury heard.

Frisby (59) behaved “wholly inappropriately” when he saw the science student in the street and he carried out a course of conduct based on her attire and religion, the jury at Wolverhampton Crown Court was told.

Frisby, of Oak Crescent, Tividale, denied religiously aggravated harrassment but was found guilty at the end a two day trial. The five-man, seven-woman jury, retired for just under three hours before returning a unanimous verdict.

Recorder Peter Carr ruled that, even having regard for his age and good character, it was a serious offence and time behind bars had to be considered. He remanded Frisby on bail until next month for a pre-sentence report.

Mr John Evans, prosecuting, told Wolverhampton Crown Court, Frisby had clearly displayed prejudice towards the young student who was now 18, and his behaviour was “bullying and cowardly”.

Islam-is-Peace launches national media campaign

Islam is PeaceMonday September 24th saw the launch of a national media campaign which aims to correct misconceptions about Islam and British Muslims. The nationwide campaign is designed to educate the general public about the real views of British Muslims. ‘Islam Is Peace’ aims to break down barriers of suspicion and division, challenge stereotypes, combat prejudice, and offer an opportunity for strengthening the values of respect, tolerance and peaceful co-existence.

The official launch of the campaign will take place on the 1st of October. It will be attended by prominent figures from civil rights groups, politicians, community leaders and representatives of all faith groups.

Praising the initiative, MCB Secretary General Dr Muhammad Abdul Bari said: “The silent majority of Muslims are coming forward and now challenging the misleading and negative assumptions of our faith that exist in sections of our media. It is a brave undertaking”.

Dr Hany El Banna OBE President of Islamic Relief Worldwide said “We are pleased to support this initiative by young British Muslims who are standing up for their faith and their country. It is a commendable act of citizenship and reaching out to the wider community.”

‘Islamophobia is not the problem’

So Zia Haider Rahman claims. Apparently the problem is Muslims themselves, a large number of whom support terrorism, so is it any wonder that the non-Muslim majority is afraid of them?

Comment is Free, 25 September 2007

Yes that’s the same Zia Haider Rahman who recently wrote in the Torygraph: “Multiculturalism has not worked…. For too long, local authorities have had a free hand to promote a multiculturalist agenda, wreaking untold harm on race relations…. The Government must now catch up with what many of us have been arguing for years; that many of Britain’s ethnic minorities are adrift in ghettoes and that some are proving to be incubators of radicalist tendencies and havens for criminals.”

Yes, it’s another article defending ‘Undercover Mosque’

“… after deciding against prosecuting the imams, an extraordinary thing happened. The police and the Crown Prosecution Service reported the programme makers to Ofcom, the TV regulator, alleging ‘complete distortion’ in the way the programme had been edited. The police even asked the CPS to consider prosecuting Channel Four, under the Public Order Act, for broadcasting a programme including material likely to stir up racial hatred, something the prosecutors rightly balked at.

“There was no suggestion that the Dispatches team had done anything other than what all media organisations do, which is to edit hours and hours of footage into a 60-minute programme. [Except that the CPS lawyer’s charge that the documentary had ‘completely distorted’ what the speakers had said suggests precisely that the documentary makers had done something very different from just editing down hours of footage.] But the police said that the documentary ‘had an impact in the community and the cohesion within it’.

“Since when has that been a matter for police investigation or referral to Ofcom? The greatest damage to community cohesion in this country is being caused by the separatist political ideology preached by extremists, not by those seeking to expose it. This is something the Government must confront if it is to support the Muslims who are taking on the fanatics….”

Philip Johnson in the Daily Telegraph, 24 September 2007

From Johnston’s warped perspective, of course, the “damage to community cohesion” produced by dishonest and inaccurate media propaganda directed against the Muslim communities is of no concern at all.
