BNP by-election defeat

BNP leafletThe British National Party, which used images of the bombed London bus on a leaflet, has failed to gain a council seat at a by-election. Labour held the Becontree seat in the east London borough of Barking and Dagenham with a majority of nearly 800.

The BNP used a photograph of the bus with the caption, “maybe it’s time to start listening to the BNP” .

The winning candidate, Alok Agrawal, said after the result: “It was very sad using a national tragedy in order to try and gain votes. They thought people were fools. They thought people would fall into a trap. But the voters have massively rejected them. They have told the BNP ‘We don’t want you in Barking and Dagenham’.”

The Islamic Manchurian candidates

“One of the most absurd sights we have been forced to watch whilst cringing from our settees in the last week has been the sight of various Establishment figures ranging from the Neo-Druid liberal Arch-Bishop of England, Prince Charles and Tony Blair all lining up to deliver their sermons on the mount about the true nature of Islam and how almost all the Muslim population of Britain have no understanding of their own religion. They tell us ‘the terrorists are a minority and have no support in the Muslim community’ but this is just another lie they are using to try and delude us into accepting more of the same liberal bullshit that they have been feeding us for years.”

BBC broadcasts BNP’s anti-Muslim hatred

Nazi scum“Let me repeat what I said on Radio 4’s Today programme yesterday morning: The Koran has some tolerant verses, but they are outweighed by ones which are either blatantly intolerant and full of hate towards unbelievers or – to be charitable – can be interpreted as intolerant and full of hate towards unbelievers. It is not a Book of Peace but a handbook for conquering other peoples’ countries – through a combination of example, persuasion, guile, coercion and naked violence.

“Until the Muslim Council of Britain and their fellow ‘moderates’ accept this, and at least try to address, condemn and reform away the elements that ‘justify’ coercion and violence, then their insistence that the only methods by which it is acceptable to spread Islam are example and persuasion must be taken as springing from guile rather than sincerity and truth.”

Nick Griffin in his “Chairman’s Column”, BNP website, 13 July 2005

It is of course a disgrace that this Nazi should have been allowed airtime on Radio 4, as though he represented a legitimate point of view, in order to spread his message of anti-Muslim hatred. Not only that, but he was given a relatively easy ride by Jim Naughtie.

‘Illegal immigration, Islam, terrorism and mass murder all linked’ – BNP

“Illegal immigration, Islam, Muslim fundamentalism terrorism and mass murder all linked – it is liberal apologists for terror who try to tell us those facts are not linked….

“From Bali, Nigeria, Chechnya, France, Spain, America, Israel, Holland, Beslan – the Islamic Jihad is a Muslim terrorist problem. As Mark Steyn wrote in The Daily Telegraph on 12th July 2005 ‘Islam has become the world’s pre-eminent incubator of terrorism at its most depraved’. The fact that the PC top cops like the homosexual Brian Paddick of the Metropolitan Police try and absurdly obfuscate the link between Islam and terrorism for politically correct reasons, the fact is that only the Liberal apologists for Islamic terrorism denies the link….

“The killers were young British born Muslims who were also racist murderers. The hatred that they inflicted upon our people was imported into this country when they and their families entered it. The British Muslim community supports them logistically and has always supported Islamic extremist groups.”

Calderoli: answer Islam with Crusades

“Islam has to be declared illegal until Islamists are prepared to renounce those parts of their pseudo political and religious doctrine glorifying violence and oppression of other cultures and religions. Islam promotes hatred and we now, after having tried the way of love, have to answer with the crusades of western peoples who still remember the battle of Lepanto”, wrote Roberto Calderoli, Northern League coordinator, in an editorial published in the party’s daily newspaper ‘La Padania’.

“Battles are not only won by armies but also by values. Unfortunately we lost those values when we gave up our Christian roots, our identity, our culture. The West is losing its battle. A world condemning Oriana Fallaci and approving a judge who frees terrorists taking them for soldiers has already lost the game. We are facing a real war where the enemy uses terrorism and we answer with flower power. Terrorism cannot be fought by offering peace but only by striking back the same way. Today we’re crying for the victims of London attacks together with their families and we suffer with those wounded, but tomorrow we have to fight back using the same arms.”

Needless to say, this meets with the wholehearted approval of Robert Spencer.

Campaigners call for action against Islamophobia

Campaigners call for action against Islamophobia

By Louise Nousratpour

Morning Star, 11 July 2005

Peace campaigners called for urgent action against burgeoning Islamophobia in the light of the London bombings after news of a series of hate crimes in and outside the capital yesterday.

The most serious of these incidents was an arson attack on the Shahjalal Mosque in Birkenhead, Merseyside, in the early hours of Saturday morning. The building was empty at the time, but one man living in a flat above the mosque was treated for smoke inhalation at the scene.

Merseyside TUC secretary Alec McFadden said that the trade union movement will not sit in silence over these “fascist and criminal” attacks on innocent people. “We all feared that, following the London attacks, far-right groups would use them to attack innocent Muslim communities”, he added.

Commenting on the arson attack, Mr McFadden said that he was convinced it was the work of fascist BNP members travelling in from neighbouring areas such as Oldham and Burnley. “Our Merseyside Coalition Against Fascism and Racism is very strong and, wherever the BNP raises its ugly head, we are there to stamp it out”, he insisted. Mr McFadden added that the coalition would be getting in touch with Muslim leaders in the area and “taking it from there”.

Fascist quotes Qur’an to show Islam is not a religion of peace

In an “open letter” to Sir Iqbal Sacranie and the Muslim Council of Britain, BNP leader Nick Griffin writes: “Terrorism; the slaughter of innocents; war against the Unbelievers; mass murder – all are (assuming the words of various Koranic verses are taken to have their ordinary English meanings) ‘justified’ in the Koran, and anyone who denies this is a liar. How can we say such Politically Incorrect things? Because we have studied the Koran….”

This could have been lifted almost word for word from Robert Spencer of Jihad Watch, couldn’t it? In fact, if the racist filth that appears in the comments section of Spencer’s site is a guide to the sort of people who read his writings, it probably was.

Spencer must be really pleased with himself. Not only is he an influence on more “mainstream” right-wingers like Melanie Phillips, but his work also serves as an inspiration to out-and-out Nazis like Griffin.

Fascists declare ‘war of civilizations’

The BNP on the London bus bomb: “It is in a way not surprising that the Government and the security services do not want to admit that a suicide bomber has struck. This, more than any other, is the weapon that indicates the extent to which our terrorist enemy is motivated by a religious fanaticism that is almost inexplicable by Western standards. More than anything else, the suicide bomber shows us that the ‘Clash of Civilizations’ is no longer just a catchy book title, but a fact of life and death that will plague the West until we stop trying to impose our values on other peoples in their countries – and insist that they must not be allowed to impose their values on us in ours.”

Muslim leaders fear revenge attacks by the extreme Right

Muslim leaders voiced fears yesterday that racist right-wing groups are already seeking to stir up hatred against their community after the bomb attacks.

Talks were being held with police and local authorities to ensure the security of mosques and areas where there are large Islamic populations.

Although the Government emphasised that it would not “jump to conclusions” about responsibility for the attacks, there was a grim acceptance among many community leaders that the perpetrators would turn out to be extremists linked to their religion.

All the large Muslim groups in Britain swiftly condemned the bombings, which they said were contrary to Islam’s highest principles of peace, justice and humanity.

Sir Iqbal Sacranie, secretary- general of the Muslim Council of Britain, said: “The evil people who planned and carried out this series of explosions want to demoralise us as a nation and divide us as a people. All of us must unite in helping the police to capture these murderers. We must remember the victims will have been people of all faiths, all races and many nationalities.”

But he later told The Times that his organisation had received thousands of e-mails from right-wing extremists threatening revenge. Sir Iqbal said: “One, which is particularly awful, reads, ‘It’s now war on Muslims throughout Britain’. These messages are all being copied and sent on to the police.

“We are advising our community to remain calm but vigilant. There are elements who will want to exploit this tragedy. In the meantime we will do everything we can to ensure that those responsible for the bombs are brought to justice.”

The British National Party immediately predicted that an Islamic terrorist group would be shown to have been behind the attacks, which would “undoubtedly lead to a fall out” in politics, increasing pressure on Tony Blair’s policy in the Middle East and his stance on immigration or asylum issues.

The party claimed that Nick Griffin, its chairman, who faces trial on criminal charges for inciting racial hatred, could be vindicated by the events of yesterday morning. In a statement it said that Mr Griffin had specifically referred to attacks on soft targets by suicide bombers who were either asylum-seekers or second generation Muslims recruited in places such as Bradford. It added: “If these bomb blasts are indeed the work of Islamic fundamentalists, the prosecution case is likely to collapse. No one is likely to be convinced that crying wolf is unlawful when the wolf has just run riot through the lambs’ pen.”

‘Deport them now’ – BNP

“1 million illegal immigrants are hiding in Britain. They are the sea in which Islamic terrorists swim. The cowards of the Lib/Lab/Con governments that have allowed them to enter and stay in this country over the years will never have the will or determination to remove them. The fact that we all have to realise is that unless those 1 million illegal immigrants are removed from the country then we can never be safe again.”
