Comments at Jihad Watch on the London bombings

Robert Spencer’s admirers offer their insights into the causes and consequences of the London attacks:

“Every fibre in my being has anger in it and every bit of it is directed to Islam.”

“This is Islam – the TRUE one. Islam is EVIL.”

“And is Red Ken going to condemn the attacks, since he’s been cultivating these Islamic types for so long? And George Galloway?”

“I am sick of multiculturism and the Islamic colonialization it spreads. I am sick of Moslems whining that they are fucking ‘misunderstood’…. What can we expect when Moslems are imported en masse into Europe.”

“I am at a loss for words, but would like to express my complete and utter disgust for moslems throughout the world and their cult of death that causes, sanctions and encourages carnage such as this through the filthy, disgusting koran. You are ALL Shameful beasts of Satan, who should be made to pay a very heavy price!”

“I hope the Bill that restricts criticism of Islam has not gone through the House of Lords yet.”

“Meanwhile the Muslim Council of Britain has condemned the attacks and has asked for ‘calm’. They always ask for calm. Never do these sick people ask for ‘calm’ from islamic jihadis.”

“When is the world going to come out and call the bastards what they are; terrorists intent on world domination in the name of a ‘religion’ started by a murderous pedophile which advocates murder, rape, lying, theft, intimidation, and slavery.”

Fascists exploit London bombings

BNP Islam Out of BritainBNP leader Nick Griffin tries to make political capital out of the London bombings:

“Following the Islamic fundamentalist massacres in London, two tendencies will rapidly become apparent: First the pro-government media will swing into action, bringing out a steady stream of injured ordinary Muslims and a flood of ‘moderate’ Muslim spokesmen to condemn the extremists. Second, millions of ordinary Brits just won’t believe them, with severe extra strain on race relations as a result. And, of course, those sceptics will be right to doubt what the media and the political Establishment tell them, not least because, for all the ritual condemnation by the Labour Party puppets in the Muslim Council of Britain, a significant minority of young Muslims in this country do support the terrorists….

“It is almost inevitable that, within a week at most, the liberal intellectual newspapers in particular will be full of wailing about how the atrocities have sparked an upsurge of ‘Islamophobia’ – that piece of political cant that demonises legitimate concern about the inherently undemocratic, anti-Western nature of the Islamic religion and labels it as unthinking ‘hate’.”

Middle East condemns London bombings

Iran and Syria joined an unbroken chorus of condemnation, as did the Palestinian Authority, the Palestinian Islamist group Hamas and Lebanon’s Hizbullah. “The use of violence to achieve aims is condemned,” Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Hamid Reza Asefi said. Syrian President Bashar Assad, in a message to Prime Minister Tony Blair, condemned “these detested acts.” Hamas said that there could be no justification for the London bombings. “Targeting civilians in their transport means and lives is denounced and rejected,” Moussa Abu Marzouk, deputy chief of the group’s political bureau, told Reuters in Damascus. A Hizbullah statement on the blasts denounced such attacks on civilians, citing humanitarian, moral and religious grounds.

SSP on London bombings

The Scottish Socialist Party today sends it’s condolences to the families of those killed and injured in today’s bombings in London.

The SSP condemns outright the bombings which were targeted at working class Londoners going about their daily lives. Many of those dead and injured would have participated in anti-war protests and would have taken part in the Make Poverty History protests over the past week.

Meanwhile, the men responsible for the war on Iraq and the massacre of 100,000 civilians were safely cocooned behind fortified walls 500 miles away, protected by thousands of police and armed forces.

Today’s horrific events further expose the falsity of the claims by Tony Blair and George Bush that the wars on Afghanistan and Iraq have turned the world into a safer place. Exactly the opposite: the world is now darker and more dangerous than ever before.

Today’s wave of destruction also underlines the futility of trying to defeat terror by ever more repressive legislation. As the escalating violence in Iraq and Afghanistan illustrates, even the most ferocious repression cannot quell violence and terror.

Muslim leaders join condemnation

Muslim leaders have condemned the terror attacks on London and called for full co-operation with police.
Muslim Council of Britain spokesman Inayat Bunglawala called on worshippers to pray for victims at Friday prayers.

And Ahmed Sheikh, president of the Muslim Association of Britain, said he feared a backlash and added that the Muslim community would feel less safe. He warned that Muslims, especially women in headscarves, might fall prey to vigilante attacks..
