Mosques could outnumber churches, right-wing evangelical Christian warns

“England is known for its impressive churches. However, they have become increasingly void of worshippers. At the same time, Muslims with mosques have moved in. Some Methodist churches are now inhabited by Muslims due to Methodist parishioners declining in number …. A move-in by Muslims is frightening. However, if Christians slacken, sow their convictions to the winds, as Jesus stated, an empty house will be housed by demons seven times over. That is exactly what appears to be occurring in England, for example. No doubt a European sweep of things forecasts the same spiritual tragedy. All the more that America must remain vigilant in guarding its Judeo-Christian heritage.”

“Targets include playground games, swimming lessons, school plays, parents’ evenings and even vaccinations. And the calls for all children to be taught in Taliban-style conditions will be launched with the help of a senior Government education adviser….

“Terry Sanderson of the National Secular Society said the report was a ‘recipe for disaster’…. ‘The MCB shouldn’t try to force its religious agenda on children who may not want it. The Government needs to send the MCB packing’.”

Islamophobic literature distributed at North Carolina school

A prominent national Islamic civil rights and advocacy group today called for disciplinary action against a public high school teacher in North Carolina who reportedly allowed the distribution of Islamophobic literature in his class.

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) says a Muslim parent whose daughter attends the Raleigh, N.C., high school reported that the teacher invited a guest speaker who handed out literature in his ninth-grade social sciences class that compared the teachings of Jesus with false accusations against Islam’s Prophet Muhammad. (Muslims in fact view Jesus as a Prophet of God equal to the Prophet Muhammad.)

Anti-Islam materials, including a pamphlet called “Jesus Not Muhammad,” were handed out in the class by a representative of a North Carolina-based Christian missionary group. The pamphlet labeled the Prophet Muhammad “A criminal,” “Demon Possessed,” and “Inspired by Satan.”

Another document given to the students was titled “Do Not Marry a Muslim Man.” The document stated: “His [Muhammad’s] militant commands and pagan beliefs are contained in the Koran, the book of Islam…. The Koran is the book of Islam that Muhammad claimed was revealed to him by Allah, the moon god of Arabs.”

Islamophobia Watch uncovered – shock revelations!

Over at Western Resistance (and the right-wing US website Family Security Matters) Adrian Morgan exposes two of the evil geniuses behind Islamophobia Watch.

Apparently Eddie Truman is “both a member of Britain’s Communist Party and spokesman of the Scottish Socialist Party”. This will come as a surprise to other leading figures in the SSP, who were under the illusion that Eddie was solely a member of their own party. Now that Morgan’s careful and painstaking research has uncovered this double-dealing, no doubt the SSP will be taking disciplinary action against the two-timing Truman.

As for yours truly, I was “formerly secretary of the Workers Revolutionary Party”. Damn! All those years secretly operating at the head of the WRP, hiding behind the cunning pseudonym “Gerry Healy”, and now I’ve finally been rumbled.

Though, to be fair, Adrian Morgan isn’t opposed to all lefties. He applauds certain “Marxist members of the left” who have condemned the alliance between socialists and Muslims that arose out of the anti-war movement, and he provides a link to an article by Alliance for Workers’ Liberty guru Sean Matgamna (or “Sean Mantegna”, as Morgan prefers to call him) which describes the SWP as the “socialist outrider for Islam in Britain”.

First Melanie Phillips expressing her admiration for him, and now Western Resistance – my, isn’t Sean a popular figure among Islamophobes.

Mark Steyn’s final solution to the Euro-Muslim problem

“Three weeks ago, Christopher Hitchens reviewed Mark Steyn’s America Alone: The End of the World as We Know It, for City Journal, the publication of the Manhattan Institute. The review was generally favorable, though not entirely uncritical. Hitchens quoted Steyn to the following effect:

“Why did Bosnia collapse into the worst slaughter in Europe since World War Two? In the thirty years before the meltdown, Bosnian Serbs had declined from 43 percent to 31 percent of the population, while Bosnian Muslims had increased from 26 percent to 44 percent. In a democratic age, you can’t buck demography – except through civil war. The Serbs figured that out – as other Continentals will in the years ahead: if you can’t outbreed the enemy, cull ’em. The problem that Europe faces is that Bosnia’s demographic profile is now the model for the entire continent. (Emphasis added.)

Swedish integration minister rejects allegations of Islamophobia

Sweden’s new integration minister dismissed allegations of “Islamophobia” by Muslim groups, and vowed Monday to defend the rights of women who are “oppressed in the name of religion.”

Nyamko Sabuni, 37, has irritated Muslim leaders by opposing religious schools and suggesting that all schools ban Islamic headscarves for girls younger than 15.

Nearly 50 Muslim organizations signed a petition opposing her appointment as integration minister, saying her views “breathe of populism and Islamophobia.”

“I will not let myself be scared into silence,” Sabuni told reporters when asked about the petition. “I will never accept that women and girls are oppressed in the name of religion.”

The 37-year-old Congolese immigrant became Sweden’s first black Cabinet member when she joined the center-right coalition government that took power in October.

Her views on religious schools, which make up a fraction of the country’s 5,000 schools, headscarves and other issues have not been endorsed by the coalition, but stirred debate about the place of Islam in Scandinavian society.

Many Muslims feel unfairly singled out by Sabuni’s campaign against arranged marriages, genital mutilation and honor killings, saying such practices are linked to tribal traditions rather than religious beliefs.

Professor in Muslim comments furore lashes out at Australian Jewish leaders

Raphael Israeli (2)A visiting Jewish professor has lashed out at Australian Jewish leaders for their “shameful submission to Muslim thugs”, saying his comments were less harsh than some by the Prime Minister and federal Treasurer.

Hebrew University professor Raphael Israeli, dropped from a proposed lecture tour after comments last week, said political correctness did not allow his remarks to be said, though, privately, all supported them.

He said Prime Minister John Howard and Treasurer Peter Costello had said harsher things after “Muslim riots”, but “someone elected to seize upon this opportunity now and sweep Australia into a storm in a teacup”.

Professor Israeli, who will teach his six-week Islamic history course at the University of NSW, posted his version of the stoush on a website. On the Dhimmi Watch section of www.jihadwatch.org, he wrote: “The dhimmi-like Jewish leadership cancelled all activities, in a shameful submission to the Muslim thugs and under the false claims of a ‘multicultural society’ in Australia, which they know is not true.”

Dudley mosque to be backed – UKIP and BNP protest

No mosque here 3Plans for an £18 million mosque and community centre in the Black Country are to be recommended for approval.

Protesters have handed in petitions with more than 1,000 signatures and written hundreds of letters of objection. But sources have revealed planning officers are set to give the scheme, for derelict land between Hall Street and the Flood Street island in Dudley, the green light.

Ukip councillor Malcolm Davis, who has led opposition to the multi-million pound proposals, said recommending the scheme for approval would be a “monumental disgrace”.

Abbey Mills Islamic centre ‘will be blocked’

Abbey Mills Islamic CentreControversial plans to build a “supermosque” on the doorstep of the London Olympics will be blocked by the Government.

The group behind the plans is Tablighi Jamaat, a Muslim missionary sect whose charitable trust, Anjuman-e-Islahul Muslimeen, has owned the 18-acre site since 1996. Tablighi Jamaat was called “an ante-chamber for fundamentalism” by French security services. Two of the July 7 London suicide bombers are believed to have attended one of its mosques.

A senior security source said that he was concerned about the proposed mosque, and expected ministers to use their powers to call in, and turn down, the planning application. The move was confirmed by a senior Government source, who said there were fears that the giant mosque could damage community relations in the area, and added: “We are going to stop it.”

Alan Craig, a Newham councillor for the Christian People’s Alliance party, has warned of the “community and security impact” that the mosque would have, and claims Muslims are already moving into the area in preparation for its opening.
