‘Burn the Koran’ man denounces Islam as ‘sick religion’

Hope Not Hate has the latest news on Andrew Eccles, the former British National Party activist who was allowed to stand as a UKIP council candidate last year, having been personally recruited by the Bury branch chair, despite UKIP’s official ban on ex-BNP members joining the party.

Eccles is the landlord of the Dungeon Inn in Tottington, Bury, in which capacity he posted the following comment on the pub’s Facebook page in response to the murder of Lee Rigby:

Dungeon Inn on Woolwich

The Dungeon Inn is owned by Thwaites Brewery. Hope Not Hate suggests that anti-racists might like to contact Thwaites and ask whether they are happy to have their name associated with such bigotry.
